"This artistic Black-chinned HummerMom chose to build her nest over a
front door in the “O” or a “Welcome” sign. It felt right to photograph her
in the ‘Om,’ as that is the sacred sound of creation, and she was creating.
Then I became aware that she had freshly refurbished her nest with a
ring of purple pansies from the front yard for camouflage, a color remini-
scent of the necklace-like ring of purple her male displays."
